Return & Refund Policy

Eligibility, condition requirements, market-priced products, damaged orders, cancellations, and refund processing.

Last updated: July 28, 2026

We want every purchase from American Crest Metals to be accurately described, securely delivered, and handled fairly. Because collectible coins and precious-metal products can differ materially in condition, packaging, certification, scarcity, and market sensitivity, eligibility for return depends on the type of item purchased and its condition when returned.

1. Return Window for Eligible Items

You may request a return of an eligible item within 30 calendar days after confirmed delivery. A return is not authorized until our support team approves the request and provides return instructions. Items sent without authorization may be refused or delayed.

After authorization, the return must be shipped within the period stated in our instructions, normally within 10 calendar days.

2. Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return, an item must:

  • Be in the same condition in which it was delivered, without cleaning, polishing, alteration, damage, testing marks, or handling that reduces value.
  • Remain in its original capsule, holder, slab, sleeve, assay card, tamper-evident packaging, or other protective packaging when applicable.
  • Include all certificates, labels, inserts, accessories, gifts, and documentation supplied with the order.
  • Be securely packaged for return and accompanied by the order number or other proof of purchase.
  • Comply with any product-specific return restriction disclosed on the product page or at checkout.

3. Non-Returnable and Final-Sale Items

Unless required by applicable law or unless the product page expressly states otherwise, the following are not eligible for discretionary return:

  • Bullion, precious-metal, or other market-priced products whose price is tied to or materially affected by metal markets after the order is accepted.
  • Items designated as final sale, clearance, non-returnable, special order, personalized, or custom.
  • Sealed, certified, slabbed, graded, assay-card, proof, or encapsulated products that have been opened, removed, tampered with, or separated from their original holder or packaging.
  • Coins or collectibles that have been cleaned, polished, scratched, chemically treated, tested, altered, substituted, damaged, or mishandled after delivery.
  • Products for which identifying labels, serial numbers, certification numbers, security features, or packaging no longer match our shipment records.
  • Gift cards, digital products, and promotional items not separately purchased.
Market-priced productsOrders for bullion and other market-sensitive products are generally firm once accepted. A decline in the metal market or a change in resale value is not a product defect and does not create a right to cancel or return.

4. Random-Year, Varied-Mint, and Representative-Image Products

For products identified as “Random Year,” “Random Date,” “Mint Mark Varies,” “Our Choice,” or similar, the year, mint mark, label, packaging, surface appearance, toning, or minor design details may differ from the representative images. Those expected variations are not grounds for return when the delivered item otherwise matches the product title, specifications, quantity, condition category, and certification status stated on the product page.

5. Exact-Coin and Certified Products

When a listing states that the exact coin is photographed, the identifying coin and certification details should match the listing, subject to reasonable differences caused by lighting, screen settings, magnification, and photography. Certified grades are opinions issued by the named independent grading service; we do not guarantee that another service, dealer, or future reviewer will assign the same grade or value.

6. Damaged, Defective, Missing, or Incorrect Orders

Contact us within 7 calendar days after delivery if an item is damaged, materially defective, missing from the package, or different from the item ordered. Keep all items, holders, packing materials, labels, and the shipping carton until the claim is resolved.

  • Order number and the email address used for the order.
  • Clear photographs of the item, holder, certification label, packing materials, outer carton, and shipping label.
  • A concise description of the issue and when it was discovered.
  • Any additional documentation reasonably requested for carrier, insurance, fraud-prevention, or quality-control review.

After review, we may provide a replacement, exchange, repair, account credit, or refund, as appropriate and subject to availability.

7. Return Shipping

If we confirm that the return is caused by our fulfillment error, an incorrect item, or a qualifying defect, we will provide or reimburse reasonable return-shipping instructions. For other approved returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping, tracking, insurance, and secure packaging.

Do not mail a return until you receive written authorization. The authorized return destination and instructions will be provided by email. We are not responsible for returns sent to an unauthorized destination or without adequate tracking and protection.

8. Inspection and Refund Timing

Returned items are inspected before a refund is approved. We may reduce or deny a refund if an item is incomplete, altered, damaged, substituted, or returned in a condition different from delivery.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days after inspection. Your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time. Original shipping charges, expedited fees, signature fees, insurance charges, and other completed services are non-refundable unless the return results from our error or applicable law requires otherwise.

9. Cancellations

You may request cancellation before an order enters processing, verification, fulfillment, or shipment, but cancellation is not guaranteed. Orders for bullion or other market-priced products may become binding immediately after acceptance. Once an order ships, it cannot be canceled and any eligible return is governed by this policy.

If we exceptionally approve cancellation of a market-priced order, we may deduct documented market loss, non-refundable payment costs, and other direct processing costs to the extent permitted by law. Market gains are not credited to the customer.

10. Refund Disputes

Please contact us before initiating a payment dispute so that we can review delivery records, product images, certification data, carrier information, and correspondence. This section does not limit any non-waivable rights available under applicable law.
